Therapeutic Approach

I strive to create a warm, safe, and collaborative space where clients can explore what brings them to therapy and what they hope to change. Opening up can feel intimidating, and I work at a pace that respects each individual’s readiness while remaining attuned to their goals. Therapy is a shared process—one in which curiosity, reflection, and practical strategies come together to support meaningful growth.

I enjoy working with individuals who may appear to be managing well on the outside but are seeking deeper understanding, support, or alignment in their lives. Many of the clients I work with are navigating stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, or a persistent sense of feeling “stuck,” and want help understanding what may be getting in the way of living more congruently with their values, needs, and desires.

Individual

My work with individuals is grounded in evidence-based practice and emphasizes a collaborative process. Therapy becomes a space to better understand patterns, desires, and needs, while identifying both internal and external factors that may be contributing to distress and developing new, more effective ways of responding.

Additionally, I incorporate modalities such as biofeedback, clinical hypnosis, and guided imagery for clients interested in addressing behavioral or somatic concerns. These concerns often present as stress-related conditions, including tension headaches, gastrointestinal issues, or elevated blood pressure. This work focuses on developing effective body–mind self-regulation skills to support greater balance, resilience, and well-being.

I also specialize in working with clients experiencing insomnia and sleep-related difficulties using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). This evidenced-based approach focuses on addressing the thoughts, behaviors, and physiological patterns that interfere with restful sleep. The work is practical, collaborative, and time-limited, helping clients develop healthier sleep habits, reduce anxiety around sleep, and restore more consistent and restorative sleep.

Couples

I work with couples who are motivated to better understand their relationship challenges and strengthen their connection. I often support partners who are struggling with communication difficulties or navigating life transitions. In our work together, I help couples identify and shift unhelpful interaction patterns, improve emotional understanding, and communicate needs more clearly, fostering greater closeness and a more satisfying connection.

My worldview and clinical work are shaped by a multicultural background. I spent my childhood in Africa, South America, and Europe, and my adulthood in the United States. Living in multiple countries has deepened my curiosity about how identity is shaped and heightened my sensitivity to the complexities of navigating multiple cultures, transitions, and systems. I strive to create an inclusive therapeutic space that honors each client’s cultural context and lived experience. I provide therapy services in English, French, and Spanish.

When I’m not working, I love discovering new trails on my mountain bike, hiking with my family, playing video games with my kids and lounging in front of a good movie
